During a go2know photo tour in the Hohenlychen sanatorium, impressive HDR images were taken of the dilapidated facility that was used to treat children with tuberculosis after 1900. In times before the Second World War, Hohenlychen became a “Reich Sports Sanatorium”, then a military hospital, in which experiments on people were also carried out. When the war was over, the area was occupied by the Red Army and used as a hospital and maternity ward. Until 1993. Since then the buildings have been empty and derelict.
It was an impressive day that made history alive and tangible.
